I’m Erica Carrillo, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. For the past 14 years, I’ve been drawn to documenting love, connection, and the moments in between that are so easy to miss.
Photography found me early. When I was ten years old, on a rare road trip with my dad, he gave me a disposable camera. I didn’t know it then, but I was learning how to hold onto something fleeting. That experience shaped the way I see photographs as quiet keepsakes, small pieces of time meant to be returned to.
My approach is calm and unforced. I work gently, blending documentary storytelling with an editorial eye, allowing moments to unfold as they are. I’m soft-spoken and observant, a little reserved at first, but always present. I believe the most meaningful images come from comfort, trust, and being fully yourself.
With a background in Studio Art, I’m naturally drawn to light, color, and thoughtful composition. I notice the subtle details, the pauses, the way emotion lives in the smallest gestures. My work feels soft, timeless, and full of feeling.
Above all, my hope is to create photographs that feel like memories. Images that bring you back to how it felt, even years later.
